To improve the reliability and feel of the iconic Coros Digital Dial, the Coros engineers developed a solution to eliminate friction within the mechanism by placing two magnets inside the dial on the Vertix 2, utilizing the push from the same magnetic pole to generate elasticity. This innovative design allows the Digital Dial on the Vertix 2 to scroll effortlessly forever, without any chance of wearing out because the two pieces are not attached to one another.
Best Barometer Design
With adventure comes a lot of ups and downs, literally. The Vertix 2 allows you to track these elevation gains and losses by utilizing the newly designed Barometer Feature.
The best barometer design was always challenging to accomplish. You want it to be dust resistant but also allow for water to flow away so the barometer doesn't eventually suffer from compromised reading accuracy. In the Vertix 2, the Coros engineering team performed countless experiments, that led to 61 carved holes in a tiny 2.2mm metal plate, each hole is only 0.25mm in diameter. The team solved this engineering challenge with precision to ensure the best experience with your watch.
